Your New Best Friend…
MyFitness Pal (website or smartphone app) is a great tool that you can use to track exactly what you are eating. It is also the most convenient way for you to share your nutritional log with me by using the client update form HERE. I also suggest upgrading to the premium version of the MyFitness Pal App as it will allow you access and personalization options for your daily nutritional value log, which is what I use to create your customized nutritional prescriptions. It may seem like a bit of an investment, however, having the best tools available is key to ensuring your success.
Please add me as a friend on MyFitnessPal. Once you open MyFitnessPal, look at the bottom click ‘MORE’ and then click ‘FRIENDS’. Tap the ‘+’ at the top right corner and click ‘EMAIL’. Type in my email firstname.lastname@example.org and send. I will now be able to see what you eat each day. Please make sure your diary settings are set to ‘Friends Only’. Once you open MyFitnessPal, look at the bottom click ‘MORE’ > ‘SETTINGS’ > ‘DIARY SETTINGS’ > ‘DIARY SHARING’ > ‘FRIENDS ONLY’.
So what’s next? 3 Day Food Recall
Now starts the real work of tracking your current habits. This will be a big wake up call! Not only will see what your diet really looks like on a day to day basis, but it is a test of how honest you are willing to be with yourself, and me! This can only work if we have both. I know you can do it!
Things to Remember
- Please eat normally and don’t make any changes, I want a clear picture of what you are doing NOW, not what you would like to do.
- Please screenshot the ‘NUTRIENTS’ page of each day. Once you open MyFitnessPal, look at the bottom click ‘DIARY’ then scroll down and click ‘NUTRITION’ and the ‘NUTRIENTS’ tab should pop up (look towards the top of the page).
